A developed recreation area on a fine stretch of the River Tees with miniature railway, children's corner, 9 hole putting green, refreshments and a picnic area. From Barnard castle involves trip across the single lane, wooden suspension bridge - an experience by itself - Day fishing permits are available. £2 p.p. entrance under 3s free.
