Triple Headed Rock
Concert Announced!
10th November 2004
The Metro Radio Arena Newcastle is proud to announce that
Deep Purple, Peter Frampton and Thunder
will all be appearing on Wednesday 10th November 2004.
Deep
Purple have been stars since 1968 when they first started out as a band
named ‘Roundabout’. Since then they have survived an endless series of
line up changes and a dramatic mid-career shift from grandiose
progressive rock to ear-shattering heavy metal.
It was songs such as ‘Black Night’, ‘Mistreated’ and ‘Space Truckin’
that got them in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s
loudest band.
Other rocking songs of theirs include the brilliant cover of Neil
Diamond’s ‘Kentucky Woman’, ‘Highway Star’, ‘Woman from Tokyo’, ‘Never
Before’, ‘Fireball’, ‘Smoke on the Water’, and ‘Hush’.
Appearing with Deep Purple will be the spectacular
guitarist/singer/songwriter Peter Frampton, and the amazing Thunder.
With past great songs such as ‘Show Me the Way’, ‘Baby I Love the
Way’, ‘Tried to Love You’, and ‘I’m in you’, the new album from Peter
Frampton ‘Now’ proves to be another brilliant success.
Thunder, whose debut album ‘Back Street Symphony’ went gold, and who
have toured with the likes of Aerosmith and Bon Jovi, will compliment
the softer rock sounds of Peter Frampton. Thunder have recently played
various venues in the North East, which have sold amazingly well.
Metro Radio Arena’s Marketing Director Paul Tappenden said:- ‘It's
brilliant for us to have such rock legends coming here for the first
time for this tremendous triple header rock concert.’
Tickets go on sale on Friday 26th March 2004 at 9am, and are priced
at £29.50
